“Don’t Turn On the News” features nine new songs by Mona Mur, accompanied by exclusive lyrics and images by author and “radical eye” photographer Miron Zownir. This second collaboration between two uncompromising artists results in a striking collection of urban electronic poetry—raw and visceral, rendered in stark black and white.

Blending eclectic electronic compositions with guitar-driven soundscapes, the album is shaped by Mur’s unmistakable voice, artistic vision, and production style. Zownir’s pitch-black yet deeply poetic texts—written exclusively for this project—further intensify its emotional depth. Produced at her own Studio KATANA, Mur creates a hyper-real, cinematic *série noire* cosmos: as cruel as life, as tender as the night.
