Crowd-funding campaign for FRANCO'S SETTLERS continues...

SHIPPING OF THE PLEDGES
Please be patient. Due to the summer break and due to the complicated administrative processing we won't be able to ship the silkscreen prints, t-shirts and other items before the beginning of August. We are a two man/woman show and not a large organization. Thank you.

THE CAMPAIGN IS OVER – THE NEW CAMPAIGN BEGINS
The filmmakers would like to express their gratitude to all supporters. Without your help the campaign wouldn't have been this successful. Nevertheless we are still lacking more than 30,000 Euros to be able to complete the film. Therefore we would like to continue with the campaign. The pledges (Daniel Richter silkscreen prints, T-shirts, etc.) will be exactly the same. The only difference is that now you pay the contribution directly to the filmmakers. See payment details below.

ROUND TABLE IN OCTOBER
The campaign was not only a success financially but also in terms of creating awareness. This is something extraordinary for such a political film. On top of that, we came closer to our idea of organizing a round table with historians, politicians and protagonists of the film. The well respected Friedrich Ebert Foundation in conjunction with the filmmakers will organize a round table in October of 2012. More information on that will be available at http://www.playloud.org.

SCREENINGS OF THE FILM
We had the idea to bring back this film to where the real people are. We would like to break away from the traditional way of showing films and instead screen the film at independent movie houses, cultural centers, schools, universities, at offices of human rights groups, neighborhood associations, associations for the Recovery of Historical Memory, in towns and villages: Anywhere where people want us to show the film. So far the feedback was a bit uncertain. Please go ahead and contact us so we can organize a screening at your local pub and afterwards have a discussion in person and not via Facebook. Let's do what artists did during the 2nd Republic when they traveled all over Spain with their "Pedagogic Missions". Please let us know if you wish us to present the film in your town.

We owe you our gratitude because it is you who believe in the project. From now on we will inform you directly about the progress of the project. If you have questions, doubts or ideas please feel free to drop us a line at info@playloud.org or check on a regular basis at http://www.playloud.org.
