Michael Vincent Waller's "Moments: Remixes" is a masterful reimagining of his 2019 album "Moments" to the point that I would it trascends the traditional boundaries of remix projects. Featuring contributions from a diverse array of artists like Jlin, Xiu Xiu, Moor Mother, and Prefuse 73 (just to mention a few of them), this album offers a kaleidoscopic journey through Waller's delicate, introspective piano compositions.

The remixes are more than mere reinterpretations, as they transform the original tracks into entirely new sonic landscapes. For instance Jlin’s remix of "Nocturnes No. 4" infuses the piece with a pulsating, almost hypnotic energy, while Xiu Xiu’s take on "For Papa" brings a haunting, ethereal quality that feels both intimate and expansive. Moor Mother’s reworking of "Return from LA II" adds a layer of raw, emotional depth, demonstrating the sheer versatility of Waller's compositions. Dietmar Post realisierte unter anderem einen Dokumentarfilm über die von US-Soldaten gegründete Garage-Beat Band THE MONKS und sein aktuelles Projekt, "Mona Mur in Conversation" beleuchtet die Karriere der 1960 in Hamburg geborenen Künstlerin.   In den vergangenen Jahren haben wir viele, viele Popstars auf Kinoleinwänden gesehen. Dort, aber auch in den Mediatheken der Streaming-Anbieter Céline Dion, Billie Eilish, Robbie Williams oder auch Taylor Swift oder Beyoncé mit Konzertfilmen. Aber es geht ja auch eine Nummer kleiner und wenn ich mir die Bemerkung erlauben darf, auch mit etwas mehr Herzblut. Dokus, die zeigen, wie Arbeit und Leben von Musikern und Musikerinnen aussehen, die nicht immer im Rampenlicht stehen.
