Monks - The Transatlantic Feedback wins the Adolf Grimme Award 2008


The play loud! team is happy to announce that Monks - The Transatlantic Feedback has won the prestigious Adolf Grimme Award 2008 (Germany).
The jury states: "monks – the transatlantic feedback leistet nicht weniger als eine tiefenscharfe Ethnografie der Sechziger Jahre, ein Portrait aufbrechender Verhältnisse mit dem Himmel voller Pauken und Gitarren."

Dave Day - Rest In Peace

Many of you have already heard the sad news: Dave Day Havlicek (born Dec 11th, 1941), passed away on January 10th, 2008 at 6:30 AM. Dave died of heart failure. We did not only admire him as a musician, he was also a good friend. We will miss him.
The screening of Monks - The Transatlantic Feedback at the REEL MUSIC FESTIVAL, PORTLAND, will be dedicated to him. His widow Irene Havlicek will be present.
Whitsell Auditorium, on Sunday, January 27th, at 7:15 PM
