Trailer and Soundtrack Album to 'Mona Mur in Conversation'

 

play loud! wird zum preisgekrönten Film 'Mona Mur in Conversation' auch ein Soundtrack-Album mit dem gleichen Titel veröffentlichen. Darauf befinden sich alle im Film verwandten Musik-Stücke, viele davon bisher unveröffentlicht. Das Album wird am 19.09.2025 auf allen einschlägigen Plattformen digital erscheinen.

Außerdem gibt es ab sofort den Trailer zum Film. Erik Meininger, Geschäftsführer der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dokumentarfilm (AgDok) sagt über den Trailer: "Wow, der Trailer macht sofort Gänsehaut! Schnörkellos, auf den Punkt - und womöglich auch eine Art Quintessenz des Films? Für mich kommt die Starke Wirkung des Trailers aus dem Mut zum Minimalismus, dem Mut zur Lücke und all dem, was dadurch mitschwingt und als "Möglichkeitsraum" des Films angedeutet wird. Und dieser Song macht natürlich ein wunderbares Grundgefühl, passt dazu auch inhaltlich vom Text, einfach perfekt. Ich bin begeistert und habe Bock auf  diesen Film!"

 

 


Mona Mur in Conversation auf dem Festival 'See The Sound'

Am 8.7. um 19 Uhr wird Mona Mur gemeinsam mit dem Pianisten Johannes Roloff die Eröffnungsgala des Festivals musikalisch begleiten.

play loud! to Release Soundtrack Album for Award-Winning Film Mona Mur in Conversation

Alongside the award-winning film Mona Mur in Conversation, play loud! will release a soundtrack album of the same name. The album features all the music related to the film, many of which have never been released before. The album will be available digitally on all major platforms on September 19, 2025.

The trailer for the film is now available. Erik Meininger, managing director of the German Documentary Film Association (AgDok), says about the trailer:

“Wow, the trailer instantly gives you goosebumps! No frills, straight to the point – and possibly even a kind of essence of the film? For me, the trailer’s powerful impact comes from its courageous minimalism, its purposeful gaps, and everything that resonates through that—what the film suggests as a ‘space of possibilities’. Mona Mur in Conversation at the 'See The Sound' Festival


On July 8 at 7 p.m., Mona Mur and pianist Johannes Roloff will perform live at the festival’s opening gala.

 

Starting October 2025, the film will be shown in selected cinemas.

After winning the audience award at Unerhört Music Film Festival Hamburg the film 'Mona Mur in Conversation' wins in the same category at the Berlin Soundwatch Music Film Festival.   Jan Müller sagt in seinem Podcast Reflektor: Und jetzt komme ich zu einer weiteren Künstlerin: Bereits im Jahr 2022 erschien beim Berliner Label play loud! MONA MUR THE ORIGINAL BAND (1984-1986). Bis ins Jahr 2022 waren diese Aufnahmen unveröffentlicht. Das ist wirklich tragisch, denn es sind mehr als nur Zeitdokumente. Es sind tolle New Wave Songs. Nicht nur Mona Murs Version von Brecht und Weills Surabaya Johnny ist extrem hörenswert, sondern das ganze Album ist echt super. The Original Band besteht aus Mitgliedern der Einstürzenden Neubauten und deren Umfeld. Und ich habe das Ganze erst ein bisschen spät entdeckt, aber ich denke, besser spät als nie. play loud! hat auch noch andere Alben von Mona Mur veröffentlicht, die lohnen sich auch in jedem Falle, aber dies hier ist meine Empfehlung für Euch für den Einstieg.
